Understanding CBD
What CBD is, how it appears on labels and why a familiar acronym is not a medical promise.
CBD is not a medical recommendation
CBD is short for cannabidiol, another cannabinoid found in cannabis. Unlike THC, CBD is not generally associated with the same intoxicating effect, but that difference is not a guarantee about how any person will respond.
Legal cannabis products can contain CBD alone or alongside THC. The package identifies the amount and format. Look for quantity, cannabinoid amounts, product type and required warnings.
Ottawa Weed Guide does not make therapeutic claims. If you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a qualified health professional about your situation.
- CBD and THC are different cannabinoids.
- A CBD label is not a medical recommendation.
- Read the complete package, not just the front panel.
- Ask a health professional for individual guidance.
